As part of an investigation, members of Queens District RCMP, with assistance from Shelburne Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) and Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia (CISNS) searched a home on Highway 8 in Middlefield on October 26. As a result of the search, police seized a quantity of processed marihuana.
A 42-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at the scene without incident. They were released from custody later that day. Both are scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on December 13, 2017 and are facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Production of a Controlled Substance.
The investigation is ongoing.
