Two New Minas men arrested for trafficking cocaine

Two men were arrested and will be charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) after police searched a home and seized cocaine in New Minas on November 2.

As a part of an ongoing investigation, Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (VISCEU), with assistance from Kings District RCMP, searched a Sumac Ave. home in New Minas on November 2. During the search, police seized a quantity of cocaine.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 23-year old man, both from New Minas, without incident. They will be charged with one count each of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine).

Both men were released and are scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on December 19 at 9 a.m.
