Two men charged, third suspect sought in relation to home invasion

Two Bathurst men have been charged in relation to a home invasion in North Tetagouche, N.B., and police are asking for the public's help in identifying a possible third suspect in the incident.

On October 12, 2017, at approximately 4 a.m., two men entered a home on Champlain Street in North Tetagouche and threatened the home owner with a knife. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money and prescription medication. No one was injured during the incident. Two men were later arrested and appeared in Bathurst Provincial Court on October 30, 2017.

Daren Pitre, a 44-year-old man, was charged with break and enter, robbery, wearing a disguise to commit an indictable offence and breach of probation. He was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing on October 31, 2017.

Kevin Charles Thibodeau, a 27-year-old man, was charged with break and enter, robbery, wearing a disguise to commit an indictable offence and breach of an undertaking. He was remanded in custody pending a court appearance on November 29, 2017.

The investigation is continuing. Police believe a third suspect may have been involved in this incident and are asking the public for their assistance.
