Two drivers charged and both cars seized during routine RCMP traffic stops in Summerford.

On October 4, 2017, Twillingate RCMP conducted traffic stops in the town of Summerford.

As a result of the traffic stops, a 35-year-old male was charged with operating a vehicle without a driver's licence and without an insurance policy. His car was seized.

In a separate stop on the same day a 50-year-old male's car was also seized and he was charged with:

· Operating a vehicle while suspended

· Operating a vehicle without an insurance policy

· Imprudent driving

· Crossing a solid line

· Using false identification plate.

Tickets issued in these two incidents combined totalled in excess of $7,500.00.

Twillingate RCMP is reminding the public that you must possess a valid driver's licence, valid insurance and valid vehicle registration to operate a motor vehicle.
