Two Break, Enter and Assault cases result in charges laid

Prince Edward Island RCMP Major Crime Unit is currently investigating two separate but related incidents that occurred on Saturday July 29th, 2017.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday July 29th, a male and a female suspect entered a residence in Stratford and robbed the male resident. The victim was struck with a metal object and robbed of a quantity of cash. The female suspect was known to the victim. The male suspect covered his face with a hoodie or bandana during the attack. The victim suffered minor injuries. Queens RCMP attended the scene and began the investigation.

Then, at approximately 11:00 p.m. on the same day, two males and a female suspect entered a residence in Borden-Carleton and assaulted several of the occupants with at least two of the occupants being struck with a baseball bat. Again, some of the suspects were known to some of the victims of the attack. A male victim suffered minor injuries to his head and face while a second male victim suffered a minor injury to his hand. East Prince RCMP attended the scene and began the investigation with investigators of the Major Crime Unit (MCU) attending to assist. East Prince RCMP, Police Dog Service and MCU with assistance from the Summerside Police Service located and arrested three suspects from the Borden-Carleton incident in Summerside.

Subsequent to the arrest of the three suspects, East Prince RCMP and MCU executed a search warrant on a residence in Summerside in search of evidence to support the offences.

The following charges have been sworn in relation to the incident in Borden:

Harrison William Snow (1991-06-24) of Summerside

1) Break and Enter and commit assault with a weapon

2) With the intent to commit an indictable offence did have his face masked

3) Possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence

Joshua James Jenkins (1989-12-09) of Summerside

1) Break and Enter and commit assault with a weapon

2) With the intent to commit an indictable offence did have his face masked

3) Possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence

Jacqueline Veronica Richard (1991-07-01) of Summerside

1) Break and Enter and commit assault with a weapon

2) With the intent to commit an indictable offence did have his face masked

3) Possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence

The three arrested people have been remanded in custody for a hearing in Prince County Provincial Court on Wednesday, August 2nd.
