Traffic stop leads to arrest for drug offence.
Just prior to 4:30 p.m. on August 1, 2017, Eskasoni RCMP Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Shore Rd. which resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old man from Eskasoni. The man was arrested after RCMP seized 21 Oxycodone pills.
The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Sydney Provincial Court on September 19, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The investigation is ongoing.
