News release

The Codiac Regional RCMP has arrested three men for attempting to buy services from sex trade workers as part of its continuing effort to curb street prostitution. The arrests were made last week in the Dufferin and St. George Street areas of Moncton.

A 59-year-old man from Saint-Antoine, a 50-year-old man from Dieppe and a 46-year-old man from Lotbinière, Q.C. were all arrested separately.

"The Codiac Regional RCMP is actively working to stop 'Johns' from attempting to buy services from sex trade workers in public places," says Cst. Curtis McCann of the Codiac Regional RCMP. "The public can help us by calling police or Crime Stoppers if they see activity in their neighbourhood that could be related to the soliciting of sexual services. A description of vehicles and licence plate numbers will help investigators."

The three men were all later released with a promise to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on January 17, 2018.
