Single vehicle hits ditch on Highway 3

Yellowknife RCMP responded to an incident involving a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 3.

On Thursday, August 3rd at approximately 3:05 pm, Yellowknife RCMP received a call for service regarding a vehicle in the ditch off the highway near Jackfish Lake. The vehicle had been driving towards Old Airport Road when the driver lost control and the vehicle left the road. City of Yellowknife Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and transported the driver to Stanton Territorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The police investigation is completed. No charges are pending.

The RCMP reminds motorists to drive responsibly and safely when out enjoying the long weekend. Anyone who witnesses any dangerous driving behavior along the roads and highways are encouraged to contact their local RCMP Detachment.
