News release

Some time between October 8, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. and October 10 at 9:00 a.m., the Roddickton Water Treatment Plant on Brookside Drive was broken into.

The culprit(s) gained entry into the building by forcing open a door. Some building materials, including 2x4 lumber, were stolen. There was also damage done to the building. The culprit(s) may have used an ATV with a trailer in this offence.

The Roddickton RCMP is seeking the public's help and is concerned for the safety of the culprit(s), as chlorine is used at the plant to treat water. This chemical is highly toxic and may pose a risk to any person entering the building without proper training and equipment.
