RCMP Serious Crime Unit dismantle a grow op and seize drugs

The Corner Brook RCMP Serious Crime Unit have charged a man in connection with a drug seizure and grow operation in Grindstone Pond near Cormack.

On September 27, 2017, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Corner Brook RCMP Serious Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a cabin at Grindstone Pond near Cormack. A search of the cabin resulted in the seizure of various amounts of marihuana, cannabis resin, drug paraphernalia, two firearms and ammunition. A marihuana grow operation was dismantled which consisted of a number of marihuana plants, supplies and equipment.

A 54-year-old man from Deer Lake is held in custody pending a court appearance in Provincial Court on September 28, 2017.

Garry GREGORY has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marihuana, production of marihuana, fail to comply with an undertaking and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
