RCMP Seize Over Fifty Pounds of Methamphetamine

RCMP officers with the Federal Investigative Unit, based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, assisted by the New Brunswick RCMP Federal Operations Unit East, RCMP Traffic Services, and Richibucto RCMP seized over 50 pounds (23 kilograms) of methamphetamine and three firearms as a result of a traffic stop on October 31st near Richibucto.

The drugs were packaged for wide spread distribution and are believed to have been destined for distribution within the Atlantic Provinces.

A man and a woman, both from Moncton, were arrested and will be facing drug related charges.
