Cargo van involved in crash

The Southeast District RCMP is seeking the public's assistance with its investigation into the crash that killed Nova Scotia RCMP officer, Cst. Francis Deschênes on September 12, 2017 near Memramcook.

As part of the continuing investigation, investigators would like to speak to any motorists who witnessed a dark blue Dodge TK 2008 Cargo Van with Pennsylvania license plate ZBN•8883 travelling eastbound on Highway 2, TransCanada Highway, between Moncton and Memramcook between 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on September 12.

Police have spoken to several witnesses and would like to talk to anyone with information who has not yet spoken to the RCMP.

The male driver taken into police custody on September 12, has been released on conditions set by the court. At this point no charges have been laid.

The investigation is continuing.
