RCMP on scene of two-vehicle collision in Steam Mill

At approximately 3:45 p.m. RCMP Kings District responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a dump truck hauling an excavator on Lakeville Road in Steam Mill, Kings County.

EHS, New Minas Fire and Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal attended the scene. The driver of the car, a 46-year-old male from Keddy's Corner, has been transported the QE2 Hospital in critical condition.

RCMP remain on scene and are investigating the crash. Motorists are advised that Lakewood Road is closed between Steadman Rd. and Highway 359 in Steam Mill. Traffic will be diverted to Highway 221 until approximately 3 a.m.
