RCMP respond to two-vehicle fatal collision late Sunday night

At 10:15 p.m., on Sunday, October 22nd, Kings District RCMP responded to a two vehicle fatal collision at the corner of Rte#4 and Cumberland Road, Dundas, PEI.

The driver, a 45 year-old man from the Stratford area was pronounced deceased at the scene, and his 53 year-old male passenger, also a Stratford area resident, was taken the hospital with serious injuries and is still in hospital. The driver of second vehicle, a 17 year-old female from New Perth area, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and released early hours of Monday morning.

The Coroner's Office and the RCMP are continuing their investigations at this time. The Traffic Analyst will be completing his examination of scene in the morning.

In the early stages of the investigation it appears speed may have been a contributing factor in the collision.
