RCMP requesting public assistance to recover unique item

Between September of 2016 and July 17 of this year, a break and enter occurred at a property on Middle Rd. Among the items stolen was a brass weather vane in the shape of a whale. The weather vane was owned by Captain Angus Walters who skippered the Bluenose, and it holds sentimental as well as historical value.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this item is asked to contact Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-527-5555.
