RCMP investigating theft of Cavendish municipality solar lights

Queens District RCMP are investigating a theft complaint of multiple solar lights from the Cavendish Resort Municipality area. Sometime over the past couple weeks and up until the early hours of May 16, 2017, a total of 145 solar light fixture were removed from posts throughout the Cavendish area. Queens District RCMP received the first theft complaint on May 15 when maintenance first noticed 67 fixtures stolen. On May 16, Queens District RCMP were advised another 68 fixtures were stolen over night. The solar lights were used in part as safety markers along walking paths and beautification of the Cavendish Resort area. The solar sensor deck and wall lights are made by Classy Caps Industries of the USA.

Queens District RCMP are asking for assistance from the public in locating the solar lights and/or identifying those responsible for the thefts.
