RCMP investigating robbery in Tilton and break and enter and theft in Bay Roberts

On September 23, 2017, Bay Roberts RCMP responded to a complaint of a robbery at a convenience store in Tilton. The suspect allegedly grabbed a quantity of cigarettes from an employee, knocking her to the ground. There were no reported injuries.

A 38-year-old man from Spaniard's Bay has been arrested and charged with one count of Robbery. He was released from custody and appeared in court on September 25, 2017. He is scheduled to appear again on October 18, 2017.

Police later responded to a call from an electronics store in Bay Roberts. The suspect allegedly broke into the store and made off with a quantity of cash and electronics. A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Theft as well as breaches of court orders. He has been remanded in custody.
