RCMP investigating after multiple shots fired into Whitehorse home

In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 18th, Whitehorse RCMP responded to a report of possible gun shots fired on Finch Crescent in Whitehorse.

Upon arrival, RCMP confirmed that multiple gun shots had been fired into a residence.

The occupants of the home were located in the backyard of the residence, and fled the scene.

RCMP officers forced entry into the residence to ensure no one had been harmed in this incident.

The Police Dog Service and Forensic Identification Section assisted with this incident. The scene was processed and evidence was collected.

No injuries have been reported.

"Although the victims are not cooperating with our investigators, Whitehorse RCMP continues to investigate this incident," says Inspector Archie Thompson, Whitehorse RCMP Detachment Commander. "The RCMP is committed to keeping the streets of Whitehorse safe, and is looking to identify the subject or subjects who were involved."
