News release

Yesterday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a collision involving a motorcycle that collided with a dog. A 66-year-old Centreville man was riding northeast on Medford Rd, and struck and killed a dog that came from a nearby residence. The man sustained severe injuries.

EHS attended the scene and transported the man to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The RCMP was assisted at the scene by Canning Volunteer Fire Department. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene, and as a result the road was closed for several hours. It has since been re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the victim's family and friends at this difficult time.
