On September 13, 2017, at 6:53 a.m., the Prince District RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Route 2 in Sherbrooke. Island EMS, the Summerside Fire Department, Maritime Electric and the Department of Highways assisted at the scene. The road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
A 25 year-old male from the O'Leary area was found deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
