RCMP investigate laser light directed at Search and Rescue aircraft during exercise in Fernwood Area of P.E.I.

On July 15th, 2017, the East Prince RCMP received a report from the Canadian Coast Guard of a laser light being pointed at a Search and Rescue aircraft that was conducting exercises near Fernwood, PEI.

The laser light was green in colour and was being directed at the aircraft for about 15 to 20 minutes as it was conducting the exercise.
