RCMP Inverness Detachment continues to have no front desk service

In order to accommodate renovations currently underway as a result of flooding, the RCMP's Inverness Detachment temporarily suspended front desk service on June 22. Service will not resume until Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Services normally provided by front desk staff at the Inverness Detachment (including criminal record checks) will not be available during this time. Residents who wish to access front desk service between June 22 and July 4 can visit the one of the following detachments:

  • Cheticamp Detachment, 32 Barron Rd. Cheticamp, Nova Scotia
  • Waycobah Detachment, 118 Reservation Rd., Waycobah, Nova Scotia
  • Port Hawkesbury Detachment, 8 Paint St., Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia

Residents can continue to reach Inverness Detachment at 902-258-2213 and emergency service will not be disrupted.

The RCMP thanks the public for their patience and looks forward to serving residents once the renovations are complete. Police remind the public to continue calling 911 for emergencies and 902-258-2213 for non-emergencies.
