RCMP conducting its 10th National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day

Newfoundland and Labrador RCMP will be conducting its 10th National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

This is a national policing initiative that combats alcohol and drug-related impaired driving.

This day also coincides with Canada Road Safety Week 2017.

RCMP officers throughout the province will be focussing their efforts on stopping impaired drivers and other high risk driving behaviours such as speeding, distracted driving and the use of seatbelts.

The general public can expect to see increased patrols and numerous sobriety check-points throughout the province as the RCMP continues its commitment to safe roads and safe communities.
