RCMP charges two men following string of thefts

On September 6, Lunenburg District RCMP received multiple calls of thefts from motor vehicles that occurred between Italy Cross and Conquerall Mills. The preliminary investigation resulted in the arrest of two men. The investigation continued through the following day, and during the evening of September 7, Lunenburg District RCMP searched a home on Phoenix Street in Bridgewater. A significant amount of the stolen property was recovered as a result of the search.

Lunenburg District RCMP has charged two men with the following offences:

Matthew Max KNICKLE, 24, of Bridgewater, Theft Under $5000.00 (x 6), Possession of Property obtained by Crime (x 6)

Michael William KNICKLE, 26 of Bridgewater, Theft Under $5000.00 (x 6), Possession of Property obtained by Crime (x 6)

Both men have been been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on September 12, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected.
