RCMP asking for public’s assistance to locate man wanted on warrant

The Southeast District RCMP is asking for the public's help to locate a man wanted on a warrant.

On November 1, 2017, 34-year-old Stephen Cyr, of no fixed address, failed to attend a court appearance and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

On November 29, 2017, Southeast District RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business in Salisbury. Police confirmed it was a van Stephen Cyr is known to drive. When officers attempted to speak to the driver, he fled the scene in the van striking a marked police car and a second vehicle, and narrowly avoiding several pedestrians. The van was later recovered in Moncton, but the driver was not apprehended.

Stephen Cyr also goes by the names Stephen Tower, John Towers, and other similar combinations. He is described as 5'7" tall, weighing approximately 230 lbs, with brown eyes and short black hair.
