RCMP arrests driver of tractor trailer following collision

At 12:20 a.m. today, Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a 911 call reporting a collision involving a tractor trailer that was in the ditch near Exit 13 on Highway 103. RCMP officers arrived at the scene and located a 41-year-old female driver from Cardigan, PEI who was arrested at the scene. She was taken to Bridgewater Detachment and given a breath test. Her blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit.

She is facing charges of Care and Control while Impaired, Care and Control with a Blood Alcohol Content over 80mg%, and Possession of Cannabis Marihuana. She is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on June 14 at 9:30 a.m.
