RCMP arrest two woman and a man following execution of two separate search warrants in Port aux Basques and Margaree

On September 22, 2017, Port-aux-Basques RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in Port-aux-Basques. During the search, police seized an undisclosed amount of cocaine, marihuana and Canadian currency.

A 41-year-old female was arrested and is facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marihuana. She was released from custody with a court date of December 6, 2017.

On September 23, 2017, Port-aux-Basques RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in Margaree, approximately 12 km east of Port-aux-Basques. Inside the home police, seized marihuana and trafficking paraphernalia.

A 38-year-old man from Isle aux Morts and a 40-year-old-female from Margaree were arrested and are both facing charges of possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking. They have both been released from custody with a court date of December 6, 2017.

Port-aux-Basques RCMP are reminding the public that no street drug is safe. The RCMP will continue to investigate drug activity in our communities.
