RCMP arrest man following execution of search warrant in Centreville

News release

On the evening of October 5, 2017, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police from New-Wes-Valley and Glovertown Detachments executed a search warrant at a residence in the community of Centreville. A quantity of cocaine, oxycodone and marihuana was seized, as well over $2,000 in cash and a firearm.

A 59 year-old male from Centreville was arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and for breaching an Undertaking.

A quantity of illegal moose meat and salmon was also discovered during the search and subsequently seized by the Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Division.

The suspect is expected to make a court appearance in Gander this afternoon.
