RCMP arrest man for armed robbery at pharmacy

Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a call of an armed robbery at a pharmacy on Hwy. 10 today shortly after 11 a.m. About 90 minutes later, they arrested a 48-year-old man without incident in connection with the robbery. The man was located in a vehicle in New Germany.

The man entered the pharmacy with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money and narcotics. There were several staff members at the pharmacy, and no other people inside the store at the time. No one was hurt during the robbery and the suspect did get away on foot with a quantity of cash and narcotics.
