At approximately 7:30 p.m. on August 16, 2017, Bay St. George RCMP General Investigation Unit, along with local detachment members and RCMP Police Dog Services West, executed a search warrant on a residence in Flat Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Inside the home, police located approximately a half pound (0.23 kg.) of cocaine, a quantity of Canadian currency and two firearms as well as evidence of drug trafficking.
A 40-year-old man from Flat Bay and a 41-year-old woman from St. John's were arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and released to appear in Stephenville Provincial Court in November.
The investigation is ongoing.
Newfoundland and Labrador RCMP are reminding the public that no street drug is safe. The RCMP will continue to investigate drug activity across the province.
