On August 5, 2017, Port-aux-Basques RCMP arrested a 30-year-old man and 38-year-old woman following the execution of a search warrant on a residence in the town. Police were assisted in the search by the RCMP Police Dog Service.
A quantity of cocaine, marihuana, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized from the home. The man and woman are facing charges of Possession, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
Newfoundland and Labrador RCMP are reminding the public that no street drug is safe. The RCMP will continue to investigate drug activity across the province.
