November 30, 2017 will mark one year since Jennifer Hillier-Penney was last seen by her family and friends. The RCMP and Jennifer's family are asking the public for any tips or information that could help the investigation.

"We believe there are members of the public who have information about Jennifer's disappearance who, for whatever reason, have not come forward," said Inspector Bruce Singer, Officer in Charge of the RCMP's Major Crime Unit. "Even a small, seemingly insignificant piece of information could be what our investigators need to find answers for Jennifer's family."

Jennifer, a 39-year-old wife and mother, was a resident and member of the community of St. Anthony. She was also a sister and daughter to a close-knit family from St. Lunaire-Girquet, who worked full-time for Labrador-Grenfell Health and was known by many from across the Great Northern Peninsula.

She was reported missing to the St. Anthony RCMP on December 1, 2016 and had last been seen at approximately 8:30 p.m. on November 30, 2016. The circumstances of Jennifer's disappearance are suspicious and the investigation, led by the RCMP Major Crime Unit, is active and ongoing.

Officers have worked relentlessly to investigate Jennifer's disappearance. They have interviewed more than one hundred witnesses and conducted extensive searches of the land and ocean using aircraft, boats and police dogs.

"Our officers have received a great deal of support from the people of St. Anthony and surrounding area," added Singer. "We know family, friends and neighbours want to help us shed light on what happened to Jennifer and encourage anyone with information to bring it to police."

Anyone with information that could help the investigation into Jennifer's disappearance is asked to contact the RCMP's Major Crime Unit at 709-637-4420.
