Prescription medication seized following search of Oxford home

News release

On November 28, the Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Unit (SCEU), with assistance from Cumberland District RCMP, searched a home in Oxford. Three people were arrested without incident inside the home. During the search, prescription medication (dextroamphetamine), drug paraphernalia and other items were seized.

A 20-year-old man was released at the scene without charges, while an 18-year-old man from Amherst was held for court for charges of breaching his bail conditions. A 28-year-old woman from Oxford was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on January 22, 2018. She is facing charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing.
