Police search home and seize hydromorphone

RCMP arrested two men and seized drugs following a search of a home in Windsor.

On June 16, 2017, after an ongoing investigation, the Windsor District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), with assistance from the Kings District SCEU and Windsor District RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Gerrish St. in Windsor.

As a result of the search, a 58-year-old man from Windsor is facing charges after a quantity of hydromorphone pills were seized. The charges consist of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Windsor Provincial Court on July 25, 2017 at 10 a.m.

The second man, a 41-year-old from Hants County, is facing Illegal Possession charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Windsor Provincial Court on July 25, 2017 at 10 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
