Police looking for man connected to theft of vehicle and arson

Campbellton RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man believed to be connected to the theft of a vehicle and a suspected arson.

A 1991 white Toyota Tacoma with Quebec license number N94 BRZ was found destroyed by fire in Dalhousie Junction around 8:30 a.m. on August 3, 2017 on NB Power property on Blair Malcolm Road. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Pointe-à-la-Croix, Quebec approximately 90 minutes earlier. Police have determined that the vehicle was seen around 8:00 a.m. on Chemin Drapeau in Balmoral.

RCMP are looking a man believed to be in his early 20's who fled from the burning vehicle heading towards the cement plant on Blair Malcolm Road and was also spotted around the Leblanc Street, Degroot Road and Mallet Street areas of Dalhousie Junction. He is described as being approximately 5' 7" tall with short hair. He was seen wearing a blue shirt.
