Police arrest two people, seize drugs in traffic stop

Inverness County District RCMP have arrested two men and seized a quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in Port Hastings on Thursday.

At 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, RCMP members conducted a traffic stop on Highway 105 in Port Hastings. As a result, police arrested Martin Julian, a 38-year-old male from Paq'tnek First Nation and Ivan Isadore, a 30-year-old male from Waycobah First Nation. A quantity of marihuana was seized.

Martin Julian was held for court as he was on probation at the time of the offence and was later released on an Undertaking. Both men are facing charges of Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.

They are scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on September 25, 2017.
