Police arrest three people, seize drugs and bear spray

South Shore Integrated Street Crime Unit arrested three adults during a traffic stop.

Prior to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Lunenburg County District RCMP General Investigation Section and Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia, conducted a traffic stop on the Camperdown School Rd. in Middlewood.

As a result of the traffic stop, a quantity of cocaine, cash and a can of bear spray were seized. The following individuals appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court on August 31 to answer to the charges. All three were remanded in to custody where they return to Bridgewater Provincial Court today at 9:30 a.m.

31-year-old Kandice Darlene Regan, of Hebbville, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and four counts of Breach of Recognizance.

25-year-old Autumn Dawn Roy, of Middlewood, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Trafficking Cocaine.

24-year-old Michael Rene Kelley, of Bridgewater, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit consists of members from the RCMP and the Bridgewater Police Service.
