Police arrest four people following drug search

Police executed a search warrant at a business and a home Thursday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of drugs.

During the search of a home in Bedford and a business on St. Margaret's Bay Rd. in Timberlea, police seized a large quantity of marihuana, shatter, cash and drug paraphernalia during the search.

Four people were arrested and are facing the following charges:

  • Twenty-year-old man from Bedford - Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
  • Twenty-four-year-old man from Halifax - Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
  • Thirty-two-year-old man from Halifax - Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
  • Twenty-eight-year-old woman from Bedford - Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

They will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on October 31 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
