Correction: Pedestrian killed in collision

Correction: The information that the vehicle was hauling a trailer was incorrect. We apologize for this error.

The Southeast District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision, after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on rue Desroches in Bouctouche, N.B.

Police responded to the collision shortly after 6 p.m., on December 2, 2017.

A 57-year-old man from Bouctouche died at the scene as a result of his injuries. It appears the man was struck by an on-coming car travelling westbound after the man had pulled his truck over in the eastbound lane to check the tractor trailer he was travelling with.

The investigation is continuing.
