Pedestrian killed in collision

The Southeast District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision, after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Route 134 in Aldouane, N.B.

Police responded to the collision shortly after 6:30 p.m. on November 1, 2017.

A 75-year-old woman from Aldouane died at the scene as a result of her injuries. It appears that the woman was struck by a vehicle while she was trying to remove something from the road. A man and woman that were in the car were both taken to hospital and later released.

An RCMP collision recontructionist attended the scene.

The collision is still under investigation, however alcohol and speed are not believed to have been contributing factors.
