News release

In support of National Teen Driver Safety Week, the Queens District RCMP in partnership with the Department of Highway Safety will be conducting education and enforcement checkpoints throughout the district and speaking at local driving schools. Activities will take place during the week of October 15th through 21st and are designed to enhance public awareness of teen driver safety issues.

Queens District RCMP and the Department of Highway Safety will be focusing their efforts on issues including: aggressive driving, distracted driving and impaired driving by alcohol and drugs. It is through all our efforts, police, highway safety, schools and parents that we work to help our teen drivers make safe and appropriate choices.

These young drivers are our future. Let's all work together to make Canada's roads the safest in the world.
