Methamphetamine and marihuana seized following traffic stop

On October 25, the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), with assistance from the Amherst RCMP and Amherst Police Department arrested a 23-year-old River Hebert man. The man was arrested following a traffic stop that occurred on Tupper Blvd in Amherst, Nova Scotia. As a result, quantities of marihuana and methamphetamine were seized from the vehicle.

The man was released from police custody and is scheduled to attend Amherst Provincial Court on December 18. He is facing charges of Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing.
