Nova Scotia RCMP invites media to attend the official opening of the newly-renovated RCMP Bible Hill Detachment.

When: Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017
Time: 2 p.m.
Where: Bible Hill Detachment
283 Pictou Rd., Bible Hill
Speakers: Don Spicer, ‎Director of Public Safety and Security, Nova Scotia Department of Justice; Christine Blair, Mayor of the Municipality of the County of Colchester; A/Commr. Brian Brennan, Commanding Officer of Nova Scotia RCMP.

Event details: The ceremony will take place outside in the detachment parking lot. Dignitaries will be piped in and O Canada will be sung by local student Lila Mader. This will be followed by a Mi'kmaq smudging ceremony by RCMP Cpl. De-Anne Sack and a prayer by RCMP Chaplain Rev. Glen Matheson. Remarks will be provided and dignitaries will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Media are invited on a tour of the detachment directly following the ribbon cutting.
