The Southeast RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle collision that happened on Highway 11 near exit 15 in Cocagne. On May 11, 2017, around 6:20 p.m., a pickup truck crossed the centre line and collided with a dump truck in the opposite lane. The driver of the pickup truck, a 58-year-old man from Cocagne, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver and a passenger in the dump truck were not injured.
An RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene, and the highway was closed for several hours.
The investigation is continuing.
