Man dies in single-vehicle collision

At 9:45 p.m. on October 25, Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 308. Police were assisted by Eel Brook Volunteer Fire Department and EHS. Initial investigation indicated the vehicle left the road and collided with a utility pole. The driver, a 54-year-old who is from Lower West Pubnico, was the lone occupant of the vehicle, and he died at the scene.

A collision re-constructionist was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the collision. Highway 308 was closed from the time of the collision until shortly after 8 a.m. today. The investigation is ongoing.
