Man dies following car collision with moose

A 54-year-old Fredericton man has died from injuries sustained in a car crash with a moose.

On September 23, 2017, just before 9 p.m., Sackville RCMP responded to a call of a car that had collided with a moose on the west bound lane of Highway 2 in Memramcook. The man driving the car and a 56-year-old woman who was a passenger were taken to hospital. On September 26, the man died of his injuries.

Speed and alcohol have been ruled out as factors in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
