Codiac Regional RCMP have arrested and charged a Dieppe man in connection with a house fire that occurred on December 2, 2017.
Police and the Dieppe Fire Department were called to a residence on Lakeburn Ave in Dieppe just before 4:30 a.m.. It appears that the fire started in a vehicle which then spread to the house. The occupants of the residence were able to get out of the home and no one was injured.
A 37-year-old man from Moncton was arrested in connection with the fire.
On December 3, Christian Gallant was charged with arson/disregard for human life and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on December 6, 2017, at 1:30 p.m., for a bail hearing.
