Man arrested in connection with break, enter and theft at gun shop

The West District RCMP have arrested a 29-year-old man from Lakeville, N.B. in connection to a break, enter and theft that occurred on October 9, 2017 at The Gun Dealer on Harvey Road in McAdam, N.B.

Police responded to an alarm at the store shortly after 4 a.m. on October 9, 2017. When police arrived several suspects fled in a vehicle and on foot into the woods.

A 29-year-old man from Lakeville, N.B. was arrested a short time later in a wooded area behind the store. He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

It is believed that no firearms were stolen. However, the suspects did steal ammunition and a gun case.

The investigation is continuing.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying those who may have been involved in this incident.
