Male in custody after alleged stabbing in Fort McPherson

Fort McPherson RCMP have arrested a 19-year-old male in regards to an alleged stabbing in the community.

Fort McPherson RCMP responded to a report of an alleged stabbing approximately 2:15 am early morning of October 7, 2017.

A male victim was transported to the community medical facility and on to the Inuvik Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries.

RCMP began an investigation into the incident and located a suspect at approximately 8:00 pm October 7. The suspect was arrested without incident.

Jayden Greenland, 19, has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. He was remanded into custody and will next appear in Yellowknife Territorial Court on October 11, 2017.
