Lower Sackville residents advised of vehicle break-ins

Early this morning, a 24-year-old man was arrested when he was found to be in possession of stolen goods from motor vehicles in the Lower Sackville area.

Halifax District RCMP has determined that approximately seven vehicles have been broken into, and investigators are advising the public that there is a possibility that more break-ins have occurred. Residents are being asked to check their vehicles, and if they feel that items have been stolen, to contact Halifax District RCMP at 902 490 5020 to make an appointment to come to the detachment and identify their stolen property.

Vehicle break-ins have been reported in the following areas:

  • Metropolitan Avenue
  • Nordic Avenue
  • Nappan Drive
  • Stokil Drive
  • Nictaux Avenue

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles when left unattended and keep valuables out of sight.

The investigation is ongoing.
